Hi! My name’s Steph (they/them) and I’m an emerging game audio designer, born and raised in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Video games weren’t allowed in my house growing up, but back in 2014, my husband introduced me to a little game called Dishonored on the Xbox 360. While it took me way too long to figure out how to both move and look around at the same time, I was immediately hooked and it remains my favourite game to this day, so much so that I now have a tattoo sleeve dedicated to it and own multiple copies of the series over three platforms! I wasn’t expecting that game to have such a strong impact on me, but it truly opened the floodgates for what would become my favourite hobby and would lead to me discovering that I didn’t just want to play games - I wanted to help be a part of creating something that could inspire someone in the same way I was.
Having a musical background, I was drawn to the audio aspects of game design; after completing my studies with the School Of Video Game Audio, I’ve been continuing to develop my skills through field recording and foley, editing the raw audio in REAPER and bringing it all together in Wwise. I’m lucky to greatly enjoy both the creative process in making a complete sound and the technical problem-solving involved in making audio respond through switches, RTPCs and other interactive behaviours; to me, it’s the best of both worlds!
I’m a firm believer in lifelong learning and so excited to keep refining my craft, as well as work towards contributing to games where sound helps bring the world and its experiences to life!

I’m always happy to connect with game developers, audio designers, studios and everyone in between! At this time I’m looking for junior game audio opportunities and chances to collaborate with indie developers as I continue to grow my skills in sound design.
